Henry Cavil is a big Warhammer fan. In 2022, he surprised customers during a visit to a Nottingham Warhammer shop and later that year it was announced he was set to star in and produce a new Warhammer series for Amazon.
As reported by PCGamer, Cavil posted about Space Marine 2 on his Instagram account, writing: “This game is the mutt’s….. Seriously, though, they’ve done pretty well eh? I couldn’t complete the campaign on Angel of Death by myself (or at least didn’t have patience to complete by myself!) which I love!”
Space Marine 2‘s campaign can be completed co-op, which seems to be the intended way to play on the game’s higher difficulties. Even for fans like Cavil, it’s too much to go it alone.
He added: “Loving the PvP and am really looking forward to it growing and expanding – It has real potential to be absolutely awesome! Disclaimer: I know nothing about game development so the kind of dreams I have may be rather difficult to implement!”
Cavil is such a Warhammer fan that he said he’ll be teaching his child to build and paint Warhammer miniatures as soon as the baby arrives. He announced that he and Natalie Viscuso were expecting a child together soon.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been doing well with both players and critics since its launch September 9. Reviewers called it a “pure, unfiltered video game,” and said “It’s a gloriously extravagant depiction of the 40k universe, and also a game that feels genuinely next-generational in its presentation.”
