Watch Liam Gallagher perform Oasis classics ahead of Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois boxing match at Wembley Stadium

The Oasis frontman gave fans a taste of what to expect on the band's much anticipated reunion tour next year

Liam Gallagher performed a handful of classic Oasis songs at Wembley Stadium last night (September 21) ahead of the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois boxing match.

The singer gave fans a taste of what to expect when he finally reunites with brother Noel Gallagher for Oasis’ long-awaited 2025 UK and Ireland reunion tour next year.

The frontman performed three Oasis songs from their seminal 1994 debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ – ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’, ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’.

It comes after the reissue of the classic record recently topped the charts – marking the first time the band have earned a number one in 14 years.

Victory ultimately went to Dubois last night, who retained his IBF heavyweight title by knocking out Joshua in the fifth round.

Guitarist and founding member Bonehead also joined for the performance, leaving fans hopeful that he will indeed be joining the reformed line-up following reports.

This week Liam suggested that “there could be a few new faces” performing with Oasis as part of their 2025 reunion shows.

Responding to a fan on X/Twitter about the other musicians joining on tour, Liam shared: “Good question, there could be a few new faces just to freshen things up”.

Initial reports claimed “no other original Oasis member were expected to join the reunion”, and that the members of Noel’s High Flying Birds would be stepping in for the rest of the band.

However, The Sun reported last month that a source said: “Bonehead is confirmed. They both wanted him in the fold and he was one of the drivers of the reunion. Noel has brought in some of his band too.”

Last year, the guitarist was asked whether he’d be up for joining the Gallagher brothers for a reunion, to which he responded: “I’m ready, got me dancing shoes”.

Drummer Alan White also got fans talking after he posted an image of his drum kit with a swirling Union Jack design. Meanwhile, though, there are currently plenty of other potential names still swirling among fans.

The ‘Oasis Live 25’ world tour has sold out all of its initial 14 stadium dates, which are set to take place between Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin next summer.

Two extra shows in London were then announced for September 2025, and tickets were available to fans who were unsuccessful the first time around.

However, the ticket sales were not without controversy, as many fans were taken by surprise by the dynamic pricing in place.

Tickets prices for the extra shows were capped but they also quickly sold out, leaving fans divided over the private ballot sale.

Meanwhile, LG recently responded to rumours about Oasis joining Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl.
