‘Shōgun’ and ‘The Bear’ walk away with the most awards, 'Hacks' scores the biggest upset of the night

The 76th Emmy Awards are finally here – check out the full list of winners below.

The 76th Emmys took place on September 15 in the United States (September 16 in the UK) – it technically marks the second round of the Emmys to take place this year; the 2023 Emmys took place in January this year, after a postponement due to the Hollywood strikes.

For this year’s Emmys (76th edition), FX’s Shōgun leD the way with the most nods. The Bear (with 23 nominations), Only Murders In The Building (21), True Detective: Night Country (19) and The Crown (18) round out the top five nominees, behind Shōgun’s impressive 25.

Shōgun walked away with 18 wins – shattering the record for the most nominated and most awarded single-season drama series ever. Among the awards won by Shōgun are Best Drama Series, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series and Best Directing for a Drama Series.

The Bear – which also set a record for the most nominated comedy series in a year with 23 nods – won 11 trophies including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Writing, Best Directing and more.

Meanwhile, Hacks scored the largest upset of the night, beating out crowd favourite The Bear for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Baby Reindeer also took home several big awards, including Outstanding Writing in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, Outstanding Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie and Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

Several of the other shows named by NME as the best TV of 2024 so far were also represented in the nominees, including Curb Your Enthusiasm and Fallout.
