Potential leaked ‘Wonder Woman’ concept art gives new game details

Apparent plot details and concept art have been leaked

A new Wonder Woman game is in the works over at Monolith, the studio behind Shadow Of Mordor and Shadow Of War, but we haven’t heard much official news about it since its 2021 Game Awards reveal. What is apparently a leak of the game’s concept art may have just brought some new details to light.

The information apparently came from a Warner Bros. marketing survey and the images have already been mostly scrubbed from social media, with X/Twitter posts showing that it has been “removed in response to a report from the copyright holder”.

In the material, it is suggested the game will be single-player, reassuring news to many fans after Warner Bros. recently said it would be pivoting away from “volatile” triple-A games and leaning more into live-service titles.

According to the apparently leaked information, the plot of the game revolves around sorceress Circe invading Wonder Woman’s homeland of Themyscira with an army of creatures, the likes of which were shown in social media posts before they were taken down.

If the supposed leak is to be believed, the game will also include other DC characters and the patented Nemesis system. This was used back in the Mordor games to create compelling rivalries between you and orcs that were able to kill you, so it will be interesting to see how it’s implemented in Wonder Woman.

None of these potential leaks have been confirmed, so take all this information with a pinch of salt. It should also be noted that making video games is a very long, complicated process, and plans change constantly, so even if this information is accurate right now, there’s no telling what will be in the final product.

In other news, Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki is aware many players use guides to beat his games, and while he doesn’t disparage them, he is aiming to design games for those who don’t.
