FIFTY FIFTY to return as a five-member group in September

Their agency has selected four new members to join Keena

K-pop agency Attrakt has announced that K-pop girl group FIFTY FIFTY will make their comeback later this year with new line-up of members.

Today (June 14), the agency shared in a statement to Newsen that it had “ decided [in April] on four new members” who will join the group, adding that FIFTY FIFTY will be “starting again as a five-member group including original member Keena”, as translated by Soompi.

Attrakt added that due to the need to ensure “album production quality”, FIFTY FIFTY would be returning with a new album this September rather than June as it previously planned. However, it also said that a pre-release single is already in the works.

The label also discussed the success of the girl group’s 2023 viral hit ‘Cupid’, adding that “everything had to stop” before the group could achieve more due to “unfortunate news”.

“Attrakt executives and staff will do their best to help FIFTY FIFTY become the best K-pop girl group by pouring sincerity and passion every day until the day of their comeback,” it said.

In June 2023, the original four members of FIFTY FIFTY filed to suspend their exclusive contracts with Attrakt, which was later denied by a Seoul court. While all members initially appealed the decision, member Keena later withdrew her appeal and returned to the agency.

After a months-long legal battle, the agency terminated its contracts with members Saena, Sio and Aran. Last November, Attrakt announced that FIFTY FIFTY would be re-organised with a new line-up centered around Keena, and later held overseas auditions in Singapore and Japan.
