American Football have shared another cut from their forthcoming third album with a vocal spot by Paramore’s Hayley Williams.
‘Uncomfortably Numb’ hears frontman Mike Kinsella and Williams trade vocals on a lilting track that features on the emo veterans’ new album, ‘American Football (LP3)’.
The accompanying music video, directed by Atiba Jefferson, is largely a point-of-view depiction of the immediate aftermath of an emergency incident in which the victim is treated by paramedics.

Kinsella has explained in a press release the difference between the Illinois band’s 2016 predecessor, ‘American Football (LP2)’, and ‘LP3’.
“We were all thoughtful about what we wanted to put out there. Last time, it was figuring out how to use all of our different arms. This time, we were like – ‘Ok we have these arms, let’s use them,'” he said.
